Seeing double

My second module started officially yesterday, though I am a week ahead now. The first week took a lot longer than my first module, which is a little concerning. I can finish a week of my first module in one day, it took about three days to finish one week for this new one. It seems I need to focus my time more on this new module though. I'm half way through the first chapter and I need to read a chapter in my other book so the work load has definitely ramped up, which says to me that doing full time with the level 2 modules just isn't realistic for me, especially as I think they have exams, so this degree will take 5 years after all! I have until the 1st of Feb to receive my results for my third assignment.

I went to a tutorial at Cardiff Met University yesterday and met my original tutor who is lovely. I've already written up my plan for the 4th assignment, so I was thinking that it wasn't worth going, but actually, it's helped me understand what they want from me and she said to do something that isn't in the assignment booklet, so I feel like I'm at a better advantage from going. It's also nice to see other students and discuss things and current events. I already read the chapter we were talking about so I knew a lot of the answers - the tutor even gave me a high five for answering something correctly! It helped me learn about how to analyse and summarise data effectively, rather than simply stating what's shown in a graph/table. So overall, it was a positive learning experience. I also love the Cardiff Met Uni campus; very modern and nice. I look forward to my future tutorials there.

Thankfully, the second module's online tutorials are on Wednesday evenings, when I don't usually work so I can join in on those. Their face to face tutorials start earlier (when I'm in work) and last 3-5 hours! My current module's tutorials last 2 hours and that can be long sometimes! I don't think I could keep my concentration up for 5 hours - I was nearly falling asleep in the first one I went to! I'd feel better being at home, knowing I can just leave when I feel like it and not worry about looking tired.

Everything is working out well so far.
