Coming to the end of block one

Yes, already! I have been successfully working ahead so next week (or hopefully sooner), I will begin working on TMA 1. The time has flown by! I think there's 5/6 blocks to cover, with an assignment for each. The module is not intensive, though they encourage you to do independent study and I do take a look at some of what they suggest to read, but it's possible to skip those if you're not up for it. I remember a tutor telling me that level 2 modules were more difficult than level 3 modules, and so far, I agree with them. Either that or I've improved in my study/time management skills, but it's only taken like 4 years to get to this point.

The module is covering interesting points about the legal system and how prisoners are treated, it's asking some good interesting questions (and it's making me want to play Prison Architect all the time). There are some crossovers between this one and D240 but that's bound to happen when trying to set the scene of the module, so I've been able to kind of move through those parts more quickly, though I'm not trying to rush through this module. I want to try my best to enjoy it while it lasts before the dreaded DE300. I want to get the most out of it so I'm trying to absorb as much information as I can. I really hope I can do well in this module. If I can get a distinction overall, it would put me in good stead for getting a 1st!

The assignments in this module are nice and varied, so it's not just one format of assignment throughout. This first one is a 1500 report criticising a news article's portrayal of crime and how their claims can be refuted by actual police data. It seems fairly simple but assignments are never simple and straightforward for me, I enjoy overthinking things too much and it's the correct way of writing that's so difficult! Hopefully I can keep a clear head on this one and trust my instincts that I'm on the right track. I've got to get my report writing thinking cap on.
