My books came yesterday!

I was expecting to be overwhelmed as others have been feeling and I heard that was common to feel, but I actually feel calmer and more prepared. I expected a large box with a whole bunch of things in, but it was only a handful; two books, an assessment book and a quick start guide. I wrote down all of my assessment deadlines in my academic diary, organised the letters and information, prepared a page for notes for my first essay, wrote down the information I'll need when writing an essay and made a table to keep track of my scores throughout the module, even though this module doesn't go towards the final degree score.

The layout of the assessments is a little stricter but similar to the assignments I had in college. I feel pretty confident that I will manage; this first module looks a breeze as it's more of an introductory module with the purpose of improving skills, increasing confidence and learning how to be a student again basically!

It makes me want to get started already but I have to wait until the module website opens before I can begin, though I intend on getting started early so I don't get too stressed and fall behind! I really like getting things completed and out of the way on time. Some people have already started theirs, but I wouldn't start yet (though it's tempting). I don't want to start and realise I'm not doing it the way they want us to.

I believe the module website will be opening in a week or two so I will likely pop back then to share my experiences so far!
