My first tutorial

I had my first tutorial today, in the heart of the city. There was quite a big group of us and although I've done my assignment, it helped me understand the subject from a new perspective and I know there are things I should adjust in my assignment, which I have done and resubmitted, but for the most part, I think I've done it well and at least, as good as I can make it!

I told her of a way I had done my assignment and she liked how I did it, but then later said it's probably better to alter it. However, my work is what the assignment asks, just a different twist on things (unintentionally). My tutor might think of it positively or not even notice it so I've decided to leave that as it is.

I got to meet other students and it was really interesting talking about society and individuals and looking at inequalities in society. My module seems a little more interesting now! I feel it's given me a little confidence too because there are others who haven't been in education for a long time and I have been out for only two years so I'm at a slight advantage, though I know this won't be easy! I'm familiar slightly with references and how to do them, but I haven't done Harvard referencing or in text citations.

I've also signed up for my next module which starts in January so things are going to get a lot busier, which is a tad scary but now I only work about 12-15 hours a week so I think I have enough time to invest in full time study. It was my plan to do it this way all along anyway and I really don't want to spend 6 years studying (this option cuts it to 5). It gives me an insight into full time study and then I'll know if it's possible for me to do full time in stage 2, which will cut the time to 4 years. I intend on doing stage 3 part time though because that's the hardest stage and would probably be too much full time.
