Contact has been made

On Thursday, I sadly had a funeral to go to (I hate funerals), but in the morning, I had a phone call from a very jolly woman who turned out to be my tutor! She was very positive, uplifting, helpful and she sounded lovely. She instantly calmed me and was impressed that I had already gotten ahead in my studies. I was relieved because I have heard people have had bad experiences with some tutors, so knowing mine is friendly and approachable is really helpful! I will get to meet her at the end of my module.

And today, I finally went to meet some other students! It was a unique experience as we were of all different ages (though that didn't stop us from having a laugh!), some had disabilities, some had already completed a degree but were working on a masters, some were freshers and some were in the middle of their studies. Everyone studied something different and things I'd never even heard of! It was nice to have some human contact and there will be more to come as I go to tutorials each month. It's starting to feel more and more real by the day!
